Looking to become homies with a fellow practical minimalist - and escape this/any oppressive society.
- Growing up with a meaningful name, Justus - imagine my mind-set.
My various international travels has proven - merely butterfly-touching the surfaces on vacation don't get you involved in any BS-officepolitics of any country/Gov/society.
Plan-B - To build a simple caravan inside a cargo-trailer over the next 2 years - then travel sit-sit-so through Central America to Panama.
- Sit-sit-so translation = make a 10-day trip from my house in Florida into 6months-or-more while smelling the roses (and fish) all along the Caribbean coast. With no destination, we could merrily continue in circles.
Phase-2 - Problem with most Cruisers/Overlanders - they ONLY plan to "GO sailing/touring", forgetting to plan to LIVE-while-cruising.
- Sure, snorkeling, fishing, trips in-land, entertaining like minded international New-Friends with dinner & board-games, is plenty-o'-fun. Hell, SOMEBODY must do it!
But that novelty only lasted a month in any new place during my previous Atlantic-crossing cruise to the Caribbean.
- HA! with my frugality, I now have a list of easy/fun hobbies which could make a few xtra pennies by selling it - including a few outside-the-box innovations of my own.
- ONE "2-in-1" example. Which yachtie/overlander in his right-mind would bring along small light-weight mobile-disco equipment? Yet I've seen from young-to-old yachties dance until die-spoeg-spat on a beach to a terrible all-the-same-tunes steeldrum band. Most towns have disco's, but it's all "electronic beat" for the young-crowd - with nowhere 80's classic-rock specifically for bored ol'-farts like myself. I love lang-arm, disco, dirty, any-&-all dancing - but NOT to sakkie-sakkie, country, jazz, rap, etc. Hence my idea of
1) running my own blessedse 80's dance/disco on lotsa beaches - while
2) making another few pennies selling (Boere) homemade-snacks. But a chopped-fruit & ice-cream filled-Pannekoek & Kerrie-Vetkoek team-mate is needed.
About His Ideal Match
Being practical, innovative, and handy/artsy is priority - or willing to learn, like me. Tomboy, Farm-girl anyone? Sewing, Canning, Drying & Preserving foods, etc.
Toworry - won't have at least $500pm passive pension/investment income? Shame, what were you planning for your retirement anyway?
- Nottoworry - I have (always, ofcourse) a few suggestions. HA! it's no free-ride - see a few "money-making ideas" below - while I also have an emergency cash-kitty.
- I don't need xtra money, but you might - and nothing's better than team-work, even if just to stay busy plus for extra ice-cream in the tropics.
- Innovation give endless hobbies-against-boredom ideas, yet could be $-making.
Hell, if need be - I even know how to catch Tuna in commercial-quantities without nets, with a simple contraption - can/will you help cut-&-package for Sushi to sell?
- With your sewing skills (simple & straight) - I can build a PVC-pipe fold-up shrimp-net - and underwater lights. Catch until it runs out our ears and sell the rest.
- Did I mention a list of inflatable "stuff" to rent out on a beach? We're gonna sit & ballas-bak there anyway - might as well "help" other bored people-w-$$ be unbored - LOL.
Fine Print -
- Someone NOT overweight, or LOOKING like someone's ol' crinkle-cut grand-maw. I'm reasonably athletically built - albeit with an "almost"-pregnancy and a need for a push-up bra - but brand-new plastic teeth and most of my hair (grin). Roger Waters from Pink Floyd sings "We have choice".
- Please have a similar yearning for team-work, with no ego to create arguments.
- Age range from mature without any suckling-baggage - to not much wiser than myself.
- Our children-&-family is encouraged to visit (Skype or in-person).
