About Him
I'm addicted to new information and experiences, therefore like to travel (to enjoy nature _and_ culture), meet interesting people [don't we all...] and enjoy books / movies / plays / on-line media etc. I try to balance living consciously (attempting to make sense of it all) with just accepting and appreciating the complexity of+in people and the world.
I like to think that I am fair, open minded and easy going - by this I mean the following. Everyone has a different personality / abilities / history, and I believe one must appreciate people (including ourselves) for what they are and take their context into account when interpreting what they say and do (while challenging them and ourselves to expand horizons). Somehow I get along well with children - I just enter their fascinating world. Key is also to see matters in perspective and not to take ourselves / events too seriously.
Perhaps as reaction to the artificial and stress filled modern lifestyle, I like to go back to nature (hike, bike, kayak, climb etc) to unwind and reconnect. I am quite concerned about what humans (yes, that's me and you) are doing to the environment (therefore I feel duly guilty about carbon emissions when feeding my travel addiction).

Situation dire: hiking in mountains, 3rd day of rain, everything wet. Campers are NOT happy - desperate for some tea + hot food. Drum roll - enter the ideal match: one that can light the stove...
Seriously (sigh, why does one have to be serious) it's not that easy to reduce people or even expectations of people to a few words as I don't like labels or limits. Hopefully you won't limit yourself either.
If you are intelligent, creative, spontaneous, funny, willing to experience and think new things, are open minded and a citizen of the world (not just of one country), can overcome failure and success (don't take yourself too seriously), are "real", honest and compassionate (sometimes one has to confront to help) and are willing to communicate and compromise we will be off to a good start. The rest we will have to figure out or make up along the way...
